Black Box is a personal statement written by a Japanese journalist Shiori Ito, who dared to do something that women in japanese society usually do not do: she spoke publicly about how she was raped in 2015 by a prominent Japanese journalist Noriyuki Yamaguchi.

The author’s unprecedented determination to break the taboo on sexual violence against women in Japanese society has aroused widespread interest in the world’s media. The interview is led by Veronika Valkovičová.
