Concert of new Slovak talent Nina Kohout and Italian dark folk composer Nero Kane in Nová Cvernovka.
NINA KOHOUT
Singer and composer Nina Kohout completed her studies at the prestigious London music school The BRIT School, which was also attended by Adele and Amy Winehouse. In 2020, she received the title of Discovery of the Year at the Radio Head Awards, and at the beginning of last year she released her debut EP Pandemonium, which received excellent reviews not only from domestic but also foreign media, including the British BBC radio. Moonlight, one of the songs on Nina’s EP, was named Song Of The Day by US radio station KEXP. Not long ago, she opened a series of concerts by the Israeli band Lola Marsh with her performances and also performed at the invitation of the President of the Slovak Republic. After a successful past few months, which included appearances at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, Ahoi! At the pop festival in Linz, a performance in Ljubljana, or a very successful concert at the Pohoda festival, Nina presented herself at the biggest European showcase festival Eurosonic at the beginning of the year, where she performed together with a string quintet.
In her music, she combines the mysterious shades of old Slovak folklore, classical music and the freshness of innovative trip-hop. Subsequently, she creates her own timeless, sometimes uncomfortably strange and anarchic musical world.

NERO KANE (IT)
Nero Kane is a psych dark folk composer. Both his vocals and his guitar style combine his European roots with the sound of the American desert in a project full of emotional visions and cinematic and ritual flavor. Kane’s music, which has received great international reviews, is often seen as a story that deals with death, religion and love with a unique style and personality. His live sets are often described as shamanic or hypnotic, but always powerful and full of beauty. Something like Echoes of Swans, Nick Cave, Velvet Underground, Johnny Cash, Nico and Cold Meat Industry sounding in a neo-expressionist pagan chant.
