Virtual Ritual

Virtual Ritual is an original gaming performance that brings its audience into the parallel world of online video games, which millions of people log into every day around the world.

Virtual Ritual is an exploration of digital cities, their inhabitants, laws and rituals that shape a seemingly weightless world where almost anything is possible. Urbanist Osamu Okamura, YouTuber Atlét, photographer and gamer Adela Vosičková – three performers will form an expert gaming panel to test the potential of a gaming city. What can be the subject of the game? What norms, rules of behavior can be exceeded in the virtual space? And in reality? What role do gaming principles play in our society? With the original use of live video, 3D animations and YouTube formats, the performance Virtual Ritual points out the hidden connections between reality and virtual space.
