Tricot: Post/Math-Rock from Japan

Tricot, the math-rock whirlwind from Japan, will soon return to Europe as part of the Walking x Walking tour. They will also perform in Slovakia on October 6 in Nová Cvernovka.

JAPANESE WHIRLWIND IN SLOVAKIA

In cooperation with the Pohoda festival we would like to introduce you to the unconventional Japanese group Tricot. The music of this math-rock band is defined by wildness, musicality and energy. Tricot is a band full of modern influences that go beyond what rock music evokes in many. Math-rock, also known as a sub-genre of post-rock influence is characterized by spacious production, unconventional composition, but most importantly, vibrant energy.

TRICOT

The Kyoto, Japan-based band formed in 2010 and have released no less than seven LPs in over a decade on the scene. Their varied compositions combine unconventional rhythms and strong visuals. With slight jazzy elements, Tricot’s sound is ultimately as multicolored as indie-post/math rock itself.
