Jakob Jautz: Landscape based choreography (workshop)

Share

A movement workshop in English exploring the connection between body, landscape, and more-than-human presence

* Working language will be English.

* In case of good weather, we will be moving from Telocvičňa to a close by forest. Please bring suitable clothes along with you.

The workshop gives an introduction and provides tools to bodily and through movement relate to the landscape its inhabitants, both human and non-human, and the local weather. The working methods and approaches shared in the workshop are part of Jakob’s ongoing performative research and work, having landscapes as co-creators.

We will focus on both, a very direct and identifiable approach of how our surrounding influences our movement choices and a more abstract / metaphysical one.

The workshop’s aim is to get us first and foremost in motion and by doing so being able to relate and experience our self as one part of a bigger picture.

We will move from embodying memories of landscapes, to exercises based on shape-shifting and learning movement directly from the landscape itself.
