Spare Parts Theater is bringing back its debut production in 2025—A Bright Room Called Day by renowned playwright Tony Kushner. This performance will be staged only once in 2025, so don’t miss the chance to join us in asking one of the most complex and pressing questions of our time: Are we ready to stand up against the evil looming on the horizon?
A Bright Room Called Day follows a group of friends gathering in a modest Berlin apartment between 1932 and 1933, just before the outbreak of World War II. As they witness Adolf Hitler’s growing popularity and the rise of his Nazi regime, they struggle to find a way to face the new reality. Each must decide whether to resist, flee, or passively accept the unfolding horror. Their story is interrupted by a young Slovak woman, furious about everything happening in Slovakia in 2025. Through her, the unsettling parallels between fascist delusions of the 20th and 21st centuries become even more striking.
